Winter is here, just in time for the holidays. Here’s what you need to know:
❄ The Storm
We’re truly getting snow this week: 3+ feet on the mountain, with snow line near lake level ~6k’ on Christmas Eve for the brunt of it.
Strong SSW winds will be present as typical, with gusts up to 56mph

⛷️The Aftermath
Friday:
Resorts may still be working to get the slopes in skiable states, so temper your expectations.
Winds will be calm, so they luckily won’t be a big factor for resort operations.
Snow quality should hold alright with cloud coverage and moderate temperatures.
Saturday, Sunday:
Sunny skies and highs around 30F may cook some fresh snow. Stay high and on polar aspects if in doubt.
Winds will be relatively calm and shouldn’t be a factor.
Monday onwards:
Be prepared for warm temperatures and potentially clear skies. Similar guidance from the weekend applies.
